Membership
Membership in the Village Pool League is EASY! There are three ways to participate:
  1. Regular Full Time Member
  2. Regular Spare Member
  3. Floating Spare Member
A Regular Full Time Member is one of five full time members of a team. This player is usually expected to participate each week in game play when possible. This member must pay the full registration fee each year and enjoys full voting rights as a member.

A Regular Spare Member joins the core 5-player team as a sixth or seventh "extra" player that plays whenever one of the core members is unavailable. The regular spare may play as often as the team deems necessary. Regular spares pay a reduced registration fee and enjoy full voting rights as a member.

A Floating Spare Member is not directly associated with any specific team in the league, but is a "free agent" and may substitute in an evening's match for any unavailable player on any team in the league. Floating spares may join the league at any time during the season and are encouraged to take full time membership on a team if an opening should become available. Floating spares pay no registration fees, but do not have voting privileges.

How To Join?

At the beginning of each season (usually in late August/early September), the VPL hosts a MEET/GREET event where new players and returning players can meet each other and play pool. There is often a pre-season tournament at this event.

Two Sign-up Nights take place during this period, one of which is on the same night of the pre-season MEET/GREET. Players may sign-up with an existing team, register a new team, or join as a floating spare. The organizing committee will attempt to place new unattached players to a team.

Keep a watch on the EVENTS calendar to find out about these pre-season events!
